Applications for the fourth edition of the popular Maltese Islands Festival are coming in thick and fast, and will close on Monday, 13 January. Late applications, against an additional €10 fee, will be accepted until Monday, 20 January.

This year’s edition of the Maltese Islands Festival will take place from 4 to 8 March 2020 at Spazju Kreattiv and The Phoenicia Ballroom in Valletta. It is an internationally- accredited performing arts festival aimed at children and young people between the ages of 4 and 18. It takes the form of a competition, giving participants the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of an audience and panel of international judges, all experts in their field.

Over the years, the festival has welcomed hundreds of participants in both solo and group performances, and across tens of categories of dance, drama, music and singing. Apart from the competitive element, it offers performers in the various categories a platform to meet and exchange ideas with their peers in a fun, artistic environment.

The Maltese Islands Festival is a member of the British and International Federation of Festivals.
